Anzère will never rival nearby Verbier or Zermatt for vastness or motorway skiing, but is becoming increasingly appealing especially for families. Most of the village has become ski-in/ski-out, thanks to a “moving carpet” that links to a button lift towards the telecabine, which used to be a 10-minute walk from the square’s furthest reaches. The car-free village is an incredibly relaxed and friendly place and in the ski area you won’t find long lift lines or crowded trails.
