Alpe d’Huez, France

Alpe d’Huez is located in nothing less than 1850 meters and from its highest point at the Pic Blanc (3.330 m), you can test your skills on the two black trails “Le Tunnel” and the 16 km long “Sarenne”. However, unlike many resorts in France, Alpe d’Huez is truly for beginners as well, and you will find long and wide easy-to-ski “boulevards” close to the town. For intermediates there are endless opertunities in the large and well connected area that encompass the slopes of the outlying villages of Auris, Villard Reculas, Oz en Oisans and Vaujany. The after-skiing was recently upgraded with an “open air” clubbing concept also known from Val Thorens and Val d’Isere. Here you will find thousands of people partying outside in an altitude of nearly 2400m!

Finally Alpe d’Huez is privileged not only by its glacier that secures snow coverage throughout a very long season, but also by its 300 sunny days per year, making it one of the sunniest resorts in France.
