Cervinia, Italy

With access to Europe’s highest lifts, and proud holder of the best snow record in Italy, Breuil-Cervinia is one of the world’s leading resorts. Located at the head of a long valley leading off the Aosta Valley, this high-altitude ski area links with both Valtournenche, and Zermatt in Switzerland, offering 350km of pistes overall. The abundance of great cruising runs here are particularly good for beginners and intermediates, and you can even ski here in the summer too.

My husband and I have decided to go for Cervinia this year, however have not yet booked. We are looking for a 3 or 4 star hotel, central in town and close to lifts. Price is important but second to quality and convenience but of course still within the medium to medium-upper price level you get on 3-4 star hotels.

Any good recommendations? Would love to have some feedback.

Hi there – I stayed at the Hotel Excelsior Planet two years ago and it was really nice. I believe it is 4-star, great rooms, great food, friendly staff and right across the road of the gondola. I would say perfect!

Have stayed at Saint Hubertus Resort 2 times and it is really great – would go there again – everything is top.
