Hemsedal, Norway

As the second largest resort in Norway, Hemsedal has quite a lot to offer, especially for families and beginners. As other Scandinavian resorts, you won’t find high altitudes, long steep slopes or fast moving gondolas, but you will certainly find entertainment for the small ones and perfect conditions for learning how to ski. Skiing in the Nordics mean few hours of daylight, but they have compensated for that by adding artificial light on quite a few trails. In Hemsedal you will find 12 km of lit pistes.

When you call it a day, Hemsedal offers you second-to-none after-skiing – if you thought you had to go to the Alps to see people dance in their skiboots, think again. Hemsedal is probably the party capital of the Nordic ski resorts!
