Hotel Elisabeth – Kirchberg, Austria

Elisabeth Spa

If you are looking for accommodation in the Kitzbühel/Kirchberg area, and you are in for a treat, the 4-star Superior Hotel Elisabeth is worth looking into. You will have easy access to the entire Kitzski area and even ski-in from slope no. 39 when the weather and snow coverage allows it. Ski-out is not possible, but you can catch the free shuttle busses just in front of the hotel, and in a few stops, you will be at either the Pengelstein or Maierl lifts. So, in terms of ski-area-access, the Elisabeth offers you a premium location.

The hotel itself is generally very high standard – rooms, even standard double rooms, are quite spacious (however could use a sitting area instead of a desk) and very light, modern and clean and offers balconies or a small terrace.

The hotel offers a very luxurious breakfast buffet and in the evening, guests can choose from both an a la carte restaurant and a guest-only restaurant with a fixed 5-course menu. However, the real attraction at the Hotel Elisabeth, and what separates it from other high standard hotels, is the spa department. It covers two floors, one offers a large indoor pool, a large jacuzzi and indoor and outdoor relax areas. The second floor offers a variety of saunas, steam baths, jacuzzi and different spa treatments. In the summer time, or for those daring winter guests who likes a chill, the outdoor area has a traditional pool AND a bio pool – and with magnificent mountain views! Adding it all up, guests have access to an overwhelming spa-experience at the Hotel Elisabeth.

The Kitzski area is a world-renowned skiing area and especially stands out due to its legendary downhill ski racing, the Streif, which is regarded as the ultimate challenge. However, as a top winter resort, Kirchberg and Kitzbühel is also a true summer pearl. There is an extensive palette of activities available and Hotel Elisabeth is actively encouraging guest to participate through their own, broad catalogue of guided tours and activity support. Go for one of the many trekking routes or rent a bike. Maybe try out one of the popular e-bikes that will help you conquer the mountain sides as if you were a contestant of the Tour de France 🙂 Yes, you won’t get as much exercise, but instead you will be able to go places where the usual biker can’t go simply because it requires too much physics. You can also ride distances that would be impossible on a regular muscle-powered bike so you will get to see much more of the area in a shorter time. Hotel Elisabeth will do the booking for you and make sure the bikes are ready at the reception in the morning and you just leave them there again when you are done.
