My family and I are considering Sweden next year but have never bin to the nordics befor. is it snow safe enoug with the low altitude? We are planing around late February.
They should install windsheilds on the chairlifts – the wind at the top is extremely cold and sheilds would make a hell of a difference. Lift passes cost the same as in the Alps where you ride in high speed gondolas in 3000 meters altitude… so come on – upgrade to modern standards.
Snow snow snow – where are you..? 🙁 🙁 everything is green – give me snow… 🙁
Sälen is great for beginners and for starting the season but if you are good at skiing don’t expect much challenges here – you would need to go to the Alps (and I am even from Sweden 😉 But for a family holiday with small or minor children it is perfect – nothing like it
