Söll, Austria

Söll has long been popular with beginners and intermediates, attracting both youths and families looking for fun of different kinds. The resort is in fact far from ideal for beginners, but the SkiWelt can be a great area for intermediate cruising. Whether it is depends on the snow. If the weather is coming from Russia, this area can have the best snow in the Alps; but usually it isn’t, and the snow may suffer from afternoon thaws and night-time frost.

Seems to be a nice season start in Austria – a lot of snow already and only end November. I was just visiting a few places with some friends and never been to Soll before. Nice area – mostly for intermediates/families but like it a lot. Very good – nice snow coverage at the top (however not that much altitude here, but that has it charm as well with the trees and so)
